FightNode Privacy Policy

Data the app may access or collect

• Account data: email address, login identifier, and authentication data when you create or use a FightNode account.
• Training data: punch power, hit count, max hit, average power, Total FP, quest/session type, timestamps, calories estimates, and session history.
• Ranking data: selected session results may be uploaded to FightNode online rankings when ranking features are used.
• Bluetooth data: Bluetooth is used to connect to BagNode sensors and supported heart-rate devices. The app does not need your physical location for training features.
• Heart-rate data: pulse/heart-rate readings may be shown live and saved in session history when a supported sensor is connected.
• Camera and microphone: camera and microphone permissions are used only when you choose camera/video training features. Videos are intended to be stored locally on your device unless you choose to share or upload them.
• Device and technical data: app version, device permissions, crash/debug information, and basic technical information may be processed by the app platform or service providers.

Website analytics and cookies

If you accept analytics cookies, this website uses Google Analytics, provided by Google, to measure page visits and usage. Google may process cookie identifiers, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your connection. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization in our website tag and remove query strings and fragments from the page address sent with page views.

Analytics is not loaded until you accept. You can reject analytics and still use the website. Use the Cookie settings button in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. Your choice is stored in your browser; withdrawing consent stops future measurement from this website and removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase previously collected data.

Embedded videos on this website

Training videos use a click-to-load YouTube player. Before you choose to load a player, the website does not request that player or its preview from YouTube. Loading it connects your browser to YouTube and related Google services, which receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Playback and any further data handling are governed by Google’s policies. The player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain; this does not mean that no data is exchanged.

The analytics cookie choice controls Google Analytics separately. You can use the direct YouTube links instead of loading an embedded player. Read Google’s privacy policy.

How data is used

FightNode uses data to provide live punch feedback, connect to BagNode hardware, show heart-rate data, save training history, record optional training videos, provide online rankings, authenticate users, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and provide support.

Ranking videos and public YouTube publication

Public video ranking is optional. Before an eligible recording, the app asks you to select Connect ranking and explicitly accept publication. Submitted data includes the video, related session and profile information, account identifier and consent version. Obtain permission from other people in the recording before submitting it.

The original submitted video, including any sound and visible text, is uploaded to Google Cloud Storage and assessed using Google Vertex AI video review. Submission status and related records are processed through Firebase and Google Cloud services. Uncertain submissions may be held for review rather than published.

Accepted videos are uploaded to the FightNode YouTube channel. New public submissions can be watched and shared by anyone. All audio is removed from the YouTube copy; this does not remove sound from your local original or from the original submitted for review. Older test uploads may have different visibility settings.

Public ranking entries are linked to the video. Local training history is separate from an online submission. Joining a private group does not grant consent to public video publication.

To request removal, contact fightnode1@gmail.com from your account email and identify the video or submission. We can address content managed by FightNode; copies independently made or shared by others are outside our direct control. See account and video deletion. Do not assume that deleting a local recording also deletes its published copy.

Sharing and service providers

FightNode does not sell personal or sensitive user data. Data may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, such as Google Firebase Authentication, Firebase Realtime Database, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Google Cloud functions, Vertex AI, YouTube, Google Play services, and hosting providers. Data may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the security of the app and users.

Local data on your device

Some training history, settings, and video files may be stored locally on your device. Local data can be deleted by using device/app storage controls, deleting videos from the device, or uninstalling the app.

Security

FightNode uses reasonable security measures and modern encrypted connections where data is transmitted to online services. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Retention and deletion

Online account data, ranking records and submitted videos are retained as needed to operate the submission, review and ranking service, or until a deletion request is handled. No fixed automatic deletion period for original submissions is stated here; contact us about your specific submission. You can request account deletion at fightnode.org/account-deletion.html. Some data may be retained longer where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal, or compliance reasons.

Children

FightNode is intended for training use and is not directed to children. Young athletes should use FightNode only with appropriate adult, coach, or club supervision.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when FightNode features, app store requirements, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
